What this skill does

The primary describes searching for a library, then using its returned identifier to fetch documentation context for API questions, implementation, or debugging. The accompanying card reports a bundled Context7 bearer token in the distributed source and notes that queries are sent to a remote service. Do not run this version until the bundled credential is removed or rotated and replaced with the user’s securely configured key. Queries must not include private source code, internal identifiers, secrets, or other confidential content.

Profile published 2026-10-29

What you can do with it

  • Find public documentation for a library or SDK
  • Retrieve focused context for an API question
  • Review query contents and credential configuration risks

When to use it

  • When checking current documentation for a third-party library
  • When any bundled key has been removed or rotated and credentials are securely configured
  • When query content can safely be sent to Context7

Example prompts

Generated from the skill’s documentation as examples; not results of actual runs.

Check whether this version still contains a bundled bearer token before running it
Search for a public library without submitting private source code or credentials
Review the query for internal or customer information before fetching docs

The counting method changed in 2026-09: skills with the same name are now counted separately by author, and the full catalog is covered. Dashed lines show months before the change; they are not compared with later months, and no growth is computed across the change.

Fetch up-to-date library documentation via Context7 API. Use PROACTIVELY when:
  (1) Working with ANY external library (React, Next.js, Supabase, etc.)
  (2) User asks about library APIs, patterns, or best practices
  (3) Implementing features that rely on third-party packages
  (4) Debugging library-specific issues
  (5) Need current documentation beyond training data cutoff
Always prefer this over guessing library APIs or using outdated knowledge.
