It can search for people, companies, news, research and code, with deep search, domain filters and date ranges; it can also extract URL content. Queries and URLs are sent to Exa’s external API. Do not submit secrets, private repository details, internal links or unapproved research targets, and protect the API key. Requires Bash, curl, jq and an Exa API key in approved configuration, including the documented ~/.clawdbot/credentials/exa/config.json path. Limit requested result counts to 100 and choose supported category, search type, domains and publication-date filters. Protect secret-bearing URLs and credentials; content retrieval does not establish access to private or restricted pages, and returned material still needs source and accuracy checks.
