What is Sumi
Sumi translates the manga page you already have open instead of copying a whole chapter to a server. It finds the original lettering, reads it, and re-typesets your language inside the shape that was already on the page, so tall balloons keep true vertical Japanese, Chinese, and Korean. It ships as a Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari extension plus an iPhone, iPad, and Mac app, and on iOS it can run the whole pipeline on device after one model download.

Reading starts free with 5 pages on sign-up and 5 more to claim each day, and Sumi Pro is $ 6.99 /month for 1,500 pages a month across the online translator and the Chrome extension.
