What is Inventory
Inventory is a macOS menu bar app that indexes the chat history Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Zed, Kiro and Antigravity already write to disk. It reads those local stores read-only, merges them into one searchable timeline across every tool, and opens from any app with a keyboard shortcut. Search works by keyword or by meaning, sessions can be reopened in the terminal with the full transcript attached so an agent picks up with real context, and an optional agent access mode lets a coding tool query the index over MCP.
