AD BLOCKER

• Blocks ads, trackers, malware domains, cookie notices, and social widgets on every site, using filter lists evaluated by Chrome's own declarative engine — fewer requests, less data, and pages that load lighter and faster
• Hides the "sponsored" placements sites serve from their own domains — promoted tiles, sponsored results, and in-feed promos that ordinary network blocking never sees
• Cleans up the empty boxes blocked ads leave behind
• As strict or as light as you like: pick a blocking level, fine-tune each layer, or pause everything for one site with a single click

AI

• Sponsor detection reads the video transcript and finds the sponsor read, intro, and self-promo segments the community hasn't flagged yet
• Popups and page elements are judged by what they actually say: AI reads the visible text and hides only what's an ad or a promotion, so the popups that matter — sign-in, checkout, a real notice — stay put
• AI double-checks new ad-hiding candidates before anything is hidden, so a wrong guess doesn't blank out real content
• Prefers Chrome's built-in on-device model, which sends nothing anywhere. You can point it at your own API key for any major cloud provider or a local self-hosted model instead. No subscription, no server of ours in the loop

PRIVACY

• No account, no sign-in, no advertising profile, no third-party analytics
• Blocking is evaluated by Chrome's own engine — the extension never inspects your requests
• Optional anonymous diagnostics report only the domain where an ad-detection problem happened (never full addresses, titles, or page content) so wrong hides can be fixed. One toggle turns them off
• Local-only mode disables every network call the extension makes

BETA FEATURES & TERMS OF SERVICE Features marked "beta" are experimental, off by default, and clearly labeled in the settings. Skipping in-stream ads on a music web player and stripping ad slots from YouTube's player data may be considered contrary to those services' terms of service. You choose whether to enable them and use them at your own discretion; because the services change their players often, these features may stop working without notice, and the default (non-beta) behavior remains as the fallback. Ad Sensei is an independent project with no affiliation to, or endorsement by, any service named here. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.

HONEST ABOUT THE LIMITS Some YouTube ads are stitched into the video stream itself and can't be prevented from loading by any extension — Ad Sensei skips them as they start, so you see about a second rather than thirty. Music players that deliver ads in-stream are muted (or, in beta, skipped) rather than blocked. Anything claiming otherwise is overselling.
