================================================================ WHAT AI SNAP DOES ================================================================
================================================================ WHY PEOPLE INSTALL SNAP ================================================================
DESIGNERS — Capture a whole landing page in one shot, draw a red circle around the misaligned button, type "spacing is 12 instead of 16" beside it, and drop the link in your design channel without leaving the browser.
DEVELOPERS — Stop pasting tiny crops into pull requests. SNAP gives you a real full-page render, AI-generated alt text for accessibility, and a short share URL that embeds nicely in GitHub and GitLab comments. Voice Notes are perfect for "here is the bug, here is the workaround, please look here next" without writing a wall of text.
CUSTOMER SUPPORT — Step-by-step screenshots with private links you can paste into a ticket, where the customer has to sign in to view. Internal screenshots stay internal. AI Notes give you a head start on the issue summary so triage is faster.
PRODUCT MANAGERS — Spec a flow by capturing each step, annotate the bits that change, and share a single link with engineering. Voice Note the rationale once instead of writing it three times.
EDUCATORS AND STUDENTS — Build a worksheet from a real web page. Highlight the keywords. Type a question over the image. Voice-record the explanation. Share a private link only your class can open.
RESEARCHERS — Capture a paper figure with the surrounding context, AI-summarize the key idea so future-you can search by meaning, not by filename, and link from your notes app of choice.
RECRUITERS, OPERATIONS — Document any flow. A signed-in URL beats an email attachment for compliance, and the AI Note gives every snap a searchable summary out of the box.
================================================================ HOW IT WORKS — STEP BY STEP ================================================================
1. Click the SNAP icon in your toolbar. Pick "Full page" or "Select area." 2. SNAP captures the image and opens it in the editor in a new tab. 3. Draw, highlight, type, or just leave it as is. 4. Click Save to download a PNG, Copy to put it on your clipboard, or Share to mint a private link. 5. If you want to talk through it, click AI Note for an automatic description, or Voice Note to record one yourself. 6. Send the link in Slack, email, your project tracker, or anywhere else.
That is the entire product. No accounts required to take a screenshot or annotate it. An account is only needed when you want a share link, history, AI Notes, or Voice Notes.
================================================================ DESIGNED FOR PROFESSIONAL USE ================================================================
REAL FULL-PAGE CAPTURE — SNAP scrolls the page in tiles sized to your viewport, multiplies by your device pixel ratio so Retina screens stay sharp, hides fixed and sticky elements during capture so they do not stack up in the stitched output, and respects the browser's screenshot rate limit so the result is reliable. Browser-internal pages such as Chrome settings tabs cannot be captured because Chrome itself blocks that — a security boundary, not a SNAP limitation.
REAL EDITOR — The editor is not a popover or a tiny inline widget. It is a full browser tab with a base canvas for the screenshot and an annotation overlay canvas for your strokes. Undo is a real history (up to 50 steps). The text tool lives on top of the canvas while you are typing so you can see exactly how it will look, and dragging the thickness slider while a text input is active live-updates the font size — so you can dial in headline-sized labels without retyping.
PRIVACY-FIRST SHARING — Every share link requires a signed-in viewer. There is no public-by-default mode. The link is short and unguessable. The Storage path for each shared image is owner-namespaced, and Firestore rules enforce that only authenticated users can read shared content. Owners can revoke a link at any time. The bucket itself is shared infrastructure, but every byte SNAP writes lives under a SNAP-specific namespace so nothing else can collide with your captures.
SLACK INTEGRATION ON YOUR TERMS — Slack is per-user. You install SNAP into your own workspace; nobody at Silverberry has access to your Slack tokens. The OAuth handshake happens in your browser, the token is stored encrypted-at-rest on the server, and SNAP only ever uses it to post to channels you choose. You can disconnect any time from /settings, which calls Slack's revoke endpoint and deletes the token from our database.
KEYBOARD AND CLIPBOARD — Copy puts the PNG on the system clipboard via the modern ClipboardItem API, so pasting into Figma, Slack, Linear, Jira, GitHub, Gmail, Notion, Confluence, Docs, Sheets, and just about anything else just works.
================================================================ PRICING — FAIR AND SIMPLE ================================================================
FREE — Unlimited screenshots. Unlimited annotations. Unlimited PNG downloads and clipboard copies. Unlimited private share links with sign-in-required viewing. Slack integration. History of your captures. Plus 5 AI Notes and 5 Voice Notes every month, refilling on the 1st (UTC).
SNAP PRO — $9.99 per month or $99.99 per year. AI Notes and Voice Notes for everyday personal use, with no published hard cap. Use them through your day without counting. Cancel any time from the Manage Billing portal and keep Pro until the end of the period.
Pro is intended for reasonable personal use. We do not publish a cap, but excessive or automated usage that looks like abuse may be rate-limited. If we ever discontinue the service, we will refund the unused portion of your current billing period on a pro-rata basis. Tax is calculated automatically at checkout. Refund or billing question? [email protected] will get you a human.
You never need a paid plan to take screenshots, annotate them, save them, copy them, or share them. The free tier is the full editor and the full sharing pipeline. Pro is only about AI Notes and Voice Notes.
================================================================ PERMISSIONS — WHAT WE ASK FOR AND WHY ================================================================
SNAP requests the minimum set of Chrome permissions needed for screenshots to actually work. We do not collect browsing history, do not track you across sites, and do not sell or share data with advertisers.
Your screenshots stay local until you press Share. AI Note and Voice Note send the relevant image or audio to our backend for processing and store the resulting description or transcript on your account so you can see it again later. You can delete any snap from My SNAPs at any time.

If something is missing that would change your day, write to [email protected]. We read every email and we ship.
================================================================ FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ================================================================
DOES SNAP CAPTURE PASSWORDS OR SECRETS BY ACCIDENT? — SNAP only captures what is visible on the page when you click capture. If a sensitive value is on screen at that moment, it will be in the image. The blur tool is on the roadmap; in the meantime, the rectangle tool with a solid fill is a good redaction stand-in.
CAN I CAPTURE A CHROME SETTINGS PAGE OR ANOTHER EXTENSION'S PAGE? — No. Chrome blocks all extensions, including SNAP, from capturing chrome:// URLs and other extensions' pages. This is a browser-level security rule.
WHO CAN SEE MY SHARE LINKS? — Only people you send the link to, and only if they sign in. There is no anonymous-viewing mode by default. You can revoke any share at any time.
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I HIT MY MONTHLY AI / VOICE NOTE LIMIT ON THE FREE PLAN? — The editor shows a friendly message with an upgrade link. Your screenshots, annotations, and sharing keep working. The counter resets on the first of the next month, in UTC.
WHERE ARE MY SCREENSHOTS STORED? — Local-first. A capture lives in your browser until you press Share, AI Note, or Voice Note. At that point, the image (or audio) is uploaded to your Snap account on our backend, namespaced under your account so it is isolated from any other user's data.
CAN I DELETE A SNAP? — Yes. Open My SNAPs, find the capture, and remove it. The image and any AI/Voice metadata are deleted from our backend.
DO YOU SELL MY DATA? — No. We do not sell, rent, or share user data with advertisers. The only third parties that touch your data are the infrastructure providers we use to run the service (Google Cloud / Firebase, Stripe for billing, AI vendors for AI Notes and Voice Note transcription), and only the minimum needed for those features.
WHY DOES THE EXTENSION ASK FOR <all_urls>? — Because a screenshot tool that only works on some sites is not a screenshot tool. SNAP does not run any code on the page until you click "Select area" or click capture.
WHAT BROWSERS DO YOU SUPPORT? — Any Chromium-based browser that supports Manifest V3 extensions. That includes Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Brave, Arc, and Opera. Firefox support is on the roadmap.
================================================================ HOW SNAP IS BUILT ================================================================
SNAP is a Manifest V3 extension. The popup is a tiny launcher. The background service worker handles capture and stitching. A small content script renders the area-selection overlay only when you ask for it. The annotation editor lives on its own page using HTML canvas. The web companion at https://snap.silverberry.ai handles sign-in, history, sharing, billing, Slack, and admin.
Production runs on Firebase Hosting, Cloud Functions, Firestore, and Cloud Storage. Billing is Stripe with automatic tax. We do not store payment card details.
