What is Chat Organizer for Claude & ChatGPT
Auto-organizes your Claude and ChatGPT chats into projects using keyword matching and AI categorization I built this because my AI chat sidebar was a mess. 200+ conversations, zero order, more time spent searching than working. So I made something that cleans it up in one click.
Chat Organizer now works with ChatGPT too. We rebranded from Claude Organizer and added full ChatGPT support. It scans your unorganized chats on both Claude and ChatGPT, figures out what each one is about using keyword matching and AI, and drops them into the right projects automatically. Takes about 10 seconds.

How it works
1. Open claude.ai or chatgpt.com and log in 2. Click the Chat Organizer icon in your toolbar 3. Click Organize and wait a few seconds 4. Check the grouped preview, so you know exactly what goes where 5. Click Apply. Done.

- Run it once a week and your sidebar stays clean.
- Already have projects? It uses them instead of making duplicates.
- Chats that don't fit anywhere are left alone for you to sort in Manual Mode.
- Custom Rules let you fine-tune the matching. Handy for recurring clients, specific jargon, or niche topics.
- On Claude, empty projects get cleaned up after each run. On ChatGPT this is disabled (deleting a project deletes its chats too).
