• HTML + files (.zip) — A readable web page with all media included.
• Word (.docx) — Open directly in Microsoft Word or Google Docs.

PRIVACY & PERMISSIONS ChatGPT Exporter only runs when you click it. It reads the conversation from your active ChatGPT tab using your existing signed-in session — no separate login required. The extension requests access only to the ChatGPT tab you are using. Optional permissions may be requested when downloading attachments hosted on external file servers. Your exported data is processed locally in your browser and is not sent to any third-party servers.
