Highlight any claim, right-click, and get a verdict backed by real sources. No account needed to start. Misinformation now moves faster than anyone can check it. CheckMate puts a fact-checker one right-click away, wherever you read.
Highlight a claim on any page, right-click, and pick "Fact-check with CheckMate." A verdict appears in the side panel beside what you're reading — no new tabs, no copy-pasting into a chatbot, no losing your place.
WHY CHECKMATE IS DIFFERENT
Most AI tools will happily fabricate a citation that looks convincing and leads nowhere. CheckMate takes its sources from Google Search results directly — the AI is never asked to produce a URL, so it cannot invent one. If a claim turns up no supporting sources at all, CheckMate says so and refuses to give you a confident verdict.
Real claims are rarely simply true or false. CheckMate distinguishes between Likely true, Likely false, Partly true, Misleading (technically accurate but creates a false impression), and Not enough evidence — plus a confidence score, so you know how sure it actually is.
Paste a whole paragraph and CheckMate separates out each distinct factual claim and judges them individually, so a mostly-true statement with one false detail doesn't get waved through.
CheckMate has no permission to read the pages you visit and no content script. It only ever sees text you deliberately select and send. Your check history is stored on your own device, never on our servers.
News articles, social media, forums, PDFs in the browser, research papers, your group chat's latest "did you know" — if you can select the text, you can check it.

1. Select any claim on any page 2. Right-click and choose "Fact-check with CheckMate" 3. Read the verdict, the reasoning, and the sources — right beside the page
