What is Search for Claude Chats
Full-text search across all your Claude.ai conversations, including chats inside projects. Everything stays on your machine. Find anything you've ever discussed with Claude — and any file in your projects — in seconds.
Search for Claude Chats adds a fast, private search panel to claude.ai, with two tabs:
- **Chats** — full-text search across all your conversations, including the ones tucked inside projects.
- **Project Files** — list and search the files in your projects, without scrolling through each one by hand.

This is the whole point of the extension: your chats and project files are indexed locally, in your own browser, and search runs entirely on your machine. Nothing is uploaded. - I described the project knowledge files in plain language ("project knowledge documents") rather than the **CORE** label used inside the panel — clearer for someone reading the store page who hasn't opened it yet. Say the word if you'd rather the description use "CORE" to match the UI.
