Your AI assistant in the Chrome sidebar. Chat, write, summarize pages and PDFs, translate and listen, on any tab. Vela is an AI assistant that lives in Chrome's side panel. Open it on any tab to chat, write, research and get answers, without switching apps or copying text back and forth.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

• Chat about anything: draft emails and posts, brainstorm ideas, plan projects or get help with code.
• Pick the right model for the job: choose from a dozen leading AI models, with fast ones for quick questions and more capable ones for harder work.
• Summarize the page you're reading: get the key points of a long article in seconds.
• Ask questions about PDFs: open a PDF in Chrome, press Read PDF, and ask about its findings or details.
• Listen instead of reading: Vela turns an article into a clean script and reads it aloud in a natural voice.
• Use right-click actions: highlight text on any site to explain, summarize, translate or rewrite it.
• Pick up where you left off: your five most recent conversations are saved, and you can delete any of them.

PRIVACY

• Vela reads a page only when you ask it to, never in the background.
• A "Using page" switch shows when the page is included and turns it off with one click.
• Page access is optional and can be revoked at any time in Chrome's settings.
• Vela does not collect your browsing history, and page text is never saved with your chats.
• Your data is not sold or used to train AI models.

PLANS Sign in with Google to get free credits every day, no card needed. Monthly plans add more credits and access to every model. Credits are spent per answer, and each model's cost is shown before you use it. Cancel any time from the account menu.
