WRITE BETTER ANYWHERE ON THE WEB Select text on a page, or click into any text box, and the Writey button appears next to it. From there you can rewrite a passage in a different tone, correct grammar and punctuation, translate it into another language, or make it shorter, longer, or easier to read. Results appear right where you're working, so you can insert or copy them without losing your place.

INSIDE GMAIL AND GOOGLE DOCS In Gmail, a Writey button sits beside Reply and Forward. One click drafts a reply, summarizes the thread, or pulls out the action items. While you write, a bar above the compose box improves, fixes, shortens, or expands your draft, or writes the whole reply from the thread. In Google Docs, select any text and a small toolbar appears to improve, fix, summarize, or shorten it. Either one can be switched off in Settings.

CHAT WITH THE PAGE YOU'RE READING Open the panel and ask questions about the page in front of you — an article, a report, a documentation site. Writey looks over the page and finds the passages that actually answer your question instead of sending the whole document, so answers stay fast and specific. Attach a document or an image and ask about that instead, or turn page context off whenever you'd rather just chat.

SUMMARIES THAT FIT THE SOURCE Writey recognizes what you're looking at and adapts to it. It summarizes web pages, online and uploaded documents, videos with captions, and images containing text — or a link you paste, or text you type in yourself. Pick the length and the format, and keep the summary in the original language or switch to another.

A FULL WRITING TOOLBOX The panel also opens into a searchable set of 14 writing tools, grouped the same way as on writey.co — including a paraphraser, a humanizer, a grammar checker, and an AI detector. Results can be copied, inserted straight into the page, or downloaded. Everything sits in one place, so you don't need a separate tab for each task.
