Make Google Gemini wider, denser, and easier to read with responsive width, reading density controls, and code wrapping. Wider Gemini adjusts Google Gemini's conversation width to fit your screen. Fine-tune text size and spacing for long answers, give tables more room, and make long code lines easier to read.

FEATURES

Conversation width and presets

Choose a fixed width such as 1000 px or a window percentage such as 70%, 90% or 100%. px and % each have their own presets, with editable names and values.

Four task presets

Choose Long reading, Tables, Code or Large text, review the settings, then click Apply. The layout from before your latest task application is saved on this device. You can actively restore it even after closing the popup; closing the popup does not restore it automatically.

Text size and reading density

Scale text from 75% to 200% without zooming the whole page, independently of density. In Auto, density 0 keeps native spacing and higher values gradually tighten it; Advanced spacing lets you set line height and paragraph gaps manually, with a reset back to Auto.

Automatic code wrapping

Turn code wrapping on to reduce sideways scrolling through long lines, or off to see the original line layout. It changes the display, not the code text.

Full-width user messages

Optionally left-align your own messages and give them the full conversation width.

Saved settings and live changes

Changes apply immediately to open Gemini tabs and save automatically for next time.

GETTING STARTED

Open gemini.google.com and click the Wider Gemini toolbar icon. Choose px or %, move the width slider or pick a preset, then adjust text size, density and code wrapping. Help & feedback has guidance and troubleshooting. If settings do not apply after installation or an update, refresh Gemini once.

PRIVACY AND PERMISSIONS

Wider Gemini adjusts layout and styling on gemini.google.com. It does not collect or upload conversations and has no analytics or tracking. It is for Gemini webpages, not native desktop apps.

Preferences use Chrome extension storage; cross-device sync depends on your Chrome settings. The single layout saved for task restoration stays on this device. storage saves preferences; scripting and Gemini site access apply styles, including to tabs already open at browser startup or after an extension update.

Optional diagnostics contain the extension version, browser major version, platform and selected settings, without conversations, page URLs, titles or custom preset names. You can review and copy the report; nothing is sent automatically.
